Scarlett MacConnell exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Market Hog at the Butte County Fair this past week.

She had the highest average daily gain at 2.23 lbs. per day.

The MacConnells did a great job finishing this one.

We had a great showing of hogs at our hometown Bingham County Fair 4H/FFA Fair. Our customers exhibited 5 out of the 8 class champions.

These exhibitors ended up placing 4 out of the top 5 when it was all done.

Paizlee Peterson exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Market hog this past week at the Blaine County Fair. This was a great hog from the start and she fed her right.
We only have 1 Duroc sow on the farm- Paizlee has always picked a red one and has been close to the winner’s circle multiple times, this one got there!!!
Her other pig, a Yorkshire also made the top 10.
Here’s the backstory on the York. Her other spare actually passed away just before initial weigh-in and we had 2 pigs left in the barn. Both pigs were a little small for what she needed, but we figured, why not. At least she would have an extra.

Reagan Christiansen showed the Grand Champion Market swine at the Lincoln County Fair this last week. So proud of a family that has had multiple Champions over the years.
Over the last 20 years we have only brought a handful of Champion Market hogs back as a replacement female- because they aren’t always a great fit as a production gilt.
This gilt has it all- functional, structure, growth, and a sweet personality to top it off.
We look forward to seeing what she does in the farrowing house.

Thanks to Craig Christiansen and Natalie Hubert Christiansen for all their continued support and taking care of this one- the right way. We appreciate them getting this one back to us.
