This past Saturday we attended the DGSV show in Lexington. I loved this show last year! It is very well run, the venue is beautiful and it is a show that Michael is able to attend with me.

Thank you to the ring stewards, secretaries, fundraising committee, and the board of the dairy goat Society of Virginia putting on this show. I also want to thank the judges for making the trip down to judge the show and for their reasons behind their placings.

I figure I’d post current pics from a few minutes ago of ELITE GCH Primrose Hill U Cascade 3*M for anyone interested in bidding on her buckling or currently are bidding. I probably should’ve done that earlier, but I didn’t think about it. I was just out feeding everybody some hay and she walked up, stunning as usual so I thought I’d snap a few.

This past weekend was one for the books!

On Sunday, we attended the NRV Fair, only 25 minutes from home. It’s so much fun seeing all the people from my VERY FIRST SHOW 8 years ago! We always have the best time, I love watching the youth participate in all of the Goat games, and I love taking the goat test(several pages) to remind me of things I do not know lol.

Thank you to the show staff, Angie, Ann Marie and Jean and every else who helps put on this amazingly fun show. Also, thank you to Judge April Hitch for making the trip to our little part of the world and giving her reasons for placings.

We also had a new little showman tagalong for the juniors on day one! It was so fun and I love so much seeing the kids getting involved❤️

My little Junior kid, Primrose Hill ROR-U Arcadia managed to pull off a Reserve, the first one on a junior kid I have had since her grand dam, GCH Primrose Hill UHad Me AtHello 1*M got hers in 2018! So special!

2026 Nationals are in the books!

A week before Nationals I had decided I was not going to go, I was going by myself and I felt it would be too much for me( Michael staying home to take care of the farm, Mirra working and Aiden gone for a month on FTX.) A week and a half before a friend contacted me and volunteered to go.

I managed to pull it together the best I could and we ended up showing 5 milkers, 1 junior yearling, 2 senior yearlings, and 2 kids.
Unfortunately I scratched GCH Primrose Hill U Cascade as she didn’t handle the distance well, going off her feed and looking wickedly rough within two days.💀

I am so incredibly proud of these girls.

❤️Primrose Hill Ror-U Arcadia was the 18th place Intermediate Kid

❤️Primrose Hill Sweet Caroline 13th place Senior Yearling(I was told my other two yearlings and kid were fat, fat and very fat) I do concur with 2 of the 3, I think “VERY” fat was a stretch. 😆😫

❤️👋GCH Primrose Hill U Hello Goodbye 2*M AR was 4th place in the 5-6 YO class with 3rd Udder!!!
She also went on to win the High Butterfat award in the senior division for Nigerians. This is an incredible accomplishment with only 2 recorded lactations under her belt!!! I purchased H.G. back going into her third lactation as a coming 3YO. She had not been put on test or shown her first two lactations. She won a beautiful vase!🏺

❤️Gillispies IB Lana 5*M AR was 6th Place Aged doe. Lana was 4th in 2022 & 2024 continuing her tradition of consistency.

A Heartfelt thank you to David McGinley for making the trip to help me and driving…so much driving, lol. Thank you to Jamie for agreeing to let him come even after deciding to keep your goats at home. Thank you to my husband, Michael, my best friend in the world for encouraging me to pull it together last minute to make the trip and for watching the farm, I missed you terribly and it wasn’t the same without you by my side. Thank you to Stacie , Robin, The Trouts and Evie for all of the help!

I’m still so behind on making my post from Nationals, but it’s coming…

But in the meantime HG has walked into the milk room every morning from home from nationals without missing a lick. She’s absolutely amazing. This morning she milked right at 3 pounds.

H.G. Was the 4th place 5/6 YO with the 🥉 place udder. Her udder is ALWAYS beautiful and it’s ALWAYS the same, day after day. She also won the high Butterfat award!!!! So proud of this Unlimited ++*B daughter.

I’m so Very excited to get this letter. My beautiful GCH Primrose Hill U Hello-Goodbye 2*M AR is official. She now has two full sibling sisters who are GCH and a full sibling CH. brother. I am so blessed to have her dam, GCH Primrose Hill UHad Me AtHello 1*M AR as one of my foundation girls. Go U-Me!
