Bee Busy Apiary LLC Beekeeper located in Mccoy,Va. This is my 5th year of beekeeping. I currently have 20 hives. I practice single hive management.

Happy 4th to everyone. Its been a very busy summer with the hives and life. Just waited to take a min to let everyone know I know have 3 locations I have honey at. 3 Birds Berry Farm and Crows Nest Green house both located in blacksburg. Newest addition is High Roller Provisions on main street in Christiansburg. Please stop in to any of these locations and check them out.

GOOD NEWS:
We open today

BEST HONEY YEAR Tommy the beekeeper has ever had!
Honey will be available at the stand!

FARMER BETH is BACK!!!
15 varieties of herb plants, garlic, potatoes and possibly squash!

BAD NEWS:
Terrible berry year, picking will be S-L-O-W but we need to be open to for Tommy’s honey, Beth’s veggies and the young people who signed on to work this summer.

It’s gonna be a year for reflection and gratitude

Spent the morning checking some hives and adding honey supers. Things are looking good.

Taking advantage of the warm weather we have, went through the hives. All of them are busy collecting pollen and nectar. Bright yellow pollen coming in. Bees should be starting to work the maples. Queen is starting to lay , nice brood patterns. Starting to see some drone larvae (male bees), swarming season is just around the corner.
