When I first started Burn Boot Camp, I had low energy and spent a couple of hours drinking coffee before I even started my day. I played a lot of pickleball, but I realized I wasn’t getting any stronger.
Honestly, I wasn’t sure I could do some of the workouts, but the trainers were always encouraging, showing me modifications and reminding me it was okay to rest when I needed to. Over time, something changed. I started looking forward to the harder workouts, even metcon and leg day! 😂 I can even jump now! I couldn’t do that before I started.
I noticed I was walking taller, getting out of my husband’s low car without struggling, and having so much more energy throughout the day. I even experience a runner’s high during Burn workouts, something I never experienced when I tried running in my younger years!
One of the best parts has been the community. I love being surrounded by people who encourage one another, celebrate the wins, and show up together. It’s become so much more than a workout.
At 62, I want to do more than just live longer. I want to be strong and enjoy those years ahead. I want to dance at my grandkids’ weddings, keep playing pickleball, take long walks with friends, and continue doing the things I love.
I’m so thankful I started this journey. I’m not just working out for today; I’m investing in the life I want to live for years to come! ❤
