Hello everyone,
I wanted to share something personal with you all as I will be taking another unexpected break from baking for a while.
I'm reaching out to ask for your support. If you know me, you know that I typically have a hard time asking for help - so putting this out there is not easy for me. But as I prepare for open-heart surgery on March 19th, I know that I can't do this alone.
I have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a heart condition that in this current state has made it unsafe for me and my husband to start a family after the loss of our first pregnancy. After much thought and prayer, my husband and I have decided to move forward with this surgery so that I can have a healthier future and the chance to grow our family safely.
While I focus on healing, I will be out of work for several weeks, and my paid leave won't fully cover my entire recovery period. We are asking for support to help in getting through this time - whether through a donation, words of encouragement, prayers, or simply sharing this post.
