Oh if walls could talk.
How I would have loved to see the love this home held inside it.
The dinners served.
Gatherings held in the sitting room.
Maybe an old radio playing.
A ma and pop on the porch on a summer evening.
Dreaming of the future.
The children raised under this roof and all the nights tucking them in.
Lantern walks to the outhouse.
Sweet dreams and peaceful mornings.
Simpler times perhaps?
Sometimes I'd like to think so.
Probably not as simple as we imagine.
But I wish I could have seen it anyways.

We are hopefully stocked up for our mild winters here in Virginia. We may try and get a few round bales again too just in case. This will be the first winter with all the animals, so we know what we used last winter and we increased it.

Joe sent me a video of Ky moving hay bales this evening. It got me thinking more about what a good kid he is. 🥰 I had to make this.

Time to chop my nails off before they snap. Struggling in these gloves today throwing hay bales. My thumb nails are always the first to break so they've been cut for over a week now.
