Happy Easter! We had fun doing a little photoshoot yesterday with the baby bunnies who are getting so big now!

It's spring and stuff is happening again on the farm! We have 2 liters of rabbits and the best part of it all the hose is back on, no more bucketing water from the house to coop anymore! It's also warm enough where Aurora gets to hang out and watch everything! She loves all the animals!

We finally picked all the pumpkins from self seeded pumpkin plants in the front yard! 12 of them total! Next year I may plant a decent patch for us...... It's so fun the savage hunt for the pumpkins under all the leaves and just when you thought you got them all you spot another!

This beautiful cool weather called for some kitchen time! Today I started Auroras baby food stock! We got some juice peaches from a local farm stand so Aurora will enjoy fresh summer peaches in a few months and the chickens get to enjoy the scraps!

Alot has been happening here on our farm , we put down fresh wood chips in the chicken run , finally got around to filling the flower beds by the bees and planted seeds, and bottled up all the honey from this harvest all while 8 months pregnant..... Then Miss Aurora decided to make her debut 4 weeks early!

Aurora was born the morning of July 10th her due date was August 7th but she couldn't wait any longer! She was a strong baby even being that early and was able to come home to meet her pups who are very happy to finally have a baby! Before we know it she will be running around with all the animals here!

If anyone is interested in fresh eggs or honey please reach out, due to constant theft and this heat I am not over stocking the cooler.

Well long day of extracting 2025 honey but totally worth it... Maybe next year we will dip our toes into to making products out of the wax but for now I will keep my ADHD under control hahaha 🤣. Also the dogs love to help with the clean up process here is a nice tongue action picture of Luna helping haha

Well it finally happened ... Damn rat snake decided to snack on some eggs .... I will be extra careful from now on when I go to collect eggs 🫣

Myrtle our Rex rabbit had her litter the other day! The babies are doing well and very plump so mommy is doing her job! 5 little kits in this litter!

Productive day ..... Cleaned out the chicken coop and started working on new flower beds by the hives! Just to build a few more then to add dirt slowly but surely it will get done!

Well we woke up to some April ...Snow?!?!... Showers haha. Chickens are not about it, they are mostly staying inside today they will appreciate the 60° tomorrow along with me! The weather has been working against us lately on the weekends so we haven't been able to accomplish as much as we would like to, but this is a prime example of waiting for the last frost date which is around mother's day around here! Soon enough I will be able to play in some dirt 😂

Today we celebrate our farmers and ranchers who keep us clothed, fed, fueled and living! It takes a village and our farmers meet all the marks to support and sustain our future BUT we need you to continue to support them to continue making it a reality.

Get out there and support your local farms, farmers markets, farm stands, join the us at NJFB and thank them for all they do for us!
