Summer 2026 Update: New Beginnings in Arizona
Hello friends, family, and farmstead supporters!
As many of you know, our family is preparing for a major transition as we leave New Jersey and head back home to Southern Arizona. While this move comes with plenty of boxes, planning, and bittersweet goodbyes, we are incredibly excited for what lies ahead.
Over the past year, we have learned so much about resilience, family, and building a life that aligns with our values. Now, we're ready to plant deeper roots and continue growing The Bohemian Farmstead in the beautiful high desert of Cochise County.
Our Arizona Vision
The next chapter of The Bohemian Farmstead will focus on creating a family-centered homestead that combines agriculture, education, wellness, and community.
Some of our upcoming projects include:
🐐 Expanding our ADGA Nigerian Dwarf Goat breeding program
🫏 Continuing to train our beloved wild burros, Chaco and Sockdolager
🐓 Raising poultry and kunekune pigs
🌻 Expanding gardens and seasonal growing areas
🧼 Producing handcrafted goat milk soaps, lotions, tallow products, and farmstead goods
🍞 Offering homemade baked goods and cottage food products
🏡 Developing our roadside self-serve farmstand where visitors can stop by and purchase fresh farm products, eggs, baked goods, skincare products, seasonal gifts, and more.
Our goal is to create a place that reflects simple living, stewardship of the land, and a return to the traditions that matter most.
Farmstand Plans
One of the projects we're most excited about is our roadside self-serve farmstand.
Visitors will eventually find:
• Farm-fresh duck eggs
• Pasture-Raised Chickens and Turkeys
• Handmade soaps and lotions
• Whipped tallow products
• Seasonal baked goods
• Homegrown produce
• Herbal products
• Holiday gift baskets
• Farm-inspired home décor and handmade goods
We hope the stand becomes a welcoming stop for neighbors, travelers, and anyone looking to support local agriculture.
Sweet Pea's Big News
One of our favorite farm girls, Sweet Pea, is expecting kids in August!
We'll be sharing updates throughout her pregnancy, kidding preparations, ultrasound updates, and of course plenty of adorable baby goat photos once the little ones arrive.
If you've followed our goat journey since the start, you know that kidding season is always one of the most exciting times on the farm.
