Up for discussion:

7x chocolate poults
2x black poults

These poults can be barred, mottled, rusty, or a combination of rusty and mottled.

Poults are 20 each. 160 for the whole bunch!

My dun houdan snuck into my silver laced pen a couple nights in a row. I guess it'll be interesting yard candy.

It's way too early to truly tell, especially with lacing quality, but I may have some buff laced that could actually be considered cochin this year. Maybe still not great cochin, but completely recognizable as such. My eldest buff laced chicks surpass my silver laced chicks of the same age, which is almost a little rude.

No, these are still not available this year.

It was time to move grow outs from the brooder. There's a few of these that catch my eye already.

How's THAT for foot feathering down?! This is a little silver laced chick that I just took out of the incubator. I have a good feeling about the progress on the silver laced this year.

I am very, very particular about my breeding pens and keeping track of who came from what. I know my genetics, I know which bird came from whose flock. The entire goal here is to improve and enjoy what I see when I go out to do chores. I sunk a lot of money into making sure that I have nice birds. I'm not aiming to ruin that. Getting decent photos, on the other hand - that's a skill I'm not particularly learned in.

The current blue pen. My blue hens are very nice. These black pullets will probably surpass them if I let them finish out. There's one in particular I should probably pull aside to show.

Found some cochin chicks, up for discussion:

1x blue from silver laced 10
2x black from silver laced 10 each
1x gold laced 10
2x black split lavender 25 each
1x black from blue 25

I probably have more split silver laced, but this is what I remember from cleaning today.

Chicks are pick up in Blanchard!

Dismantled the gold laced pen to put the blues back together. The first time I tried, fertility was great, but I only got about two eggs a week. I decided to give him a couple of my black pullets, too.

We have some more turkey eggs! Pick up Blanchard/Mount Pleasant. We can also bring prepaid eggs to Carson City this Saturday. See comments for the compensations.

These are out of the last of Painted Fowl Farm's flock. Pencilled red sweetgrass, red palm, tiger blue, pencilled fall fire, and mottled rusty black toms over tiger bronze, red palm, royal palm, blue palm, tricolor pencilled blue palm, chocolate, and mottled rusty black hens. BIG chance for chocolate based birds!

We still have TWO mottled rusty black pairs or toms as well. These toms WILL throw chocolate jennies. They're also guaranteed pencilled carriers.

(We also have one extra poult, but I'm not sure how to handle one extra poult so I guess not.)
