So I have gotten a few questions about this over the last week so here’s an example of what to look for in spring killed grass. The first picture shows hair-pining of the grass into the seed furrow. The second two are after adjusting row cleaners to remove the grass from disc openers creating more seed to soil contact and a better germination pattern. Planters can do amazing things don’t be afraid to adjust.
