I didn’t become a different person.

I became someone who finally stopped abandoning herself to make everyone else comfortable.

I healed. I learned. I grew. I figured out where my boundaries belonged, stopped accepting things that hurt me, and started choosing myself too.

That isn’t changing who I am.

That’s finally becoming her. 🤍

I don't need a life that looks impressive to everyone else.

I want a life that feels meaningful to me.

One where I get to spend my days doing work I believe in, surrounded by the animals I love, building something that matters beyond myself.

It's not always easy. It's certainly not always peaceful. 😂

But it's mine.

And every once in a while, I look around and realize that somewhere along the way, I built my own definition of success. 🤍

Someday I hope I'll look back at this and remember exactly what it felt like before the very first one.

Before I knew how we'd do.
Before I had show photos, ribbons, wins, losses, or stories to tell.

Just me, a few birds in conditioning cages, a whole lot left to learn, and the decision to fu***ng try.

Our first poultry show is coming.

And this is where that story starts. 🤍
