Osage County Fair Week
July 11-13, 2024

Kendall and Keaton Niederhelm will have their farm raised hogs at the Osage County Fair this week. This year they are trying something new, on this page you usually see them with lambs. Be sure to come check out their show at 8am on Thursday. They will also be selling these quality hogs during the Livestock Auction starting at 6pm Thursday.

Kristin Rieke and Emma Rieke will be showcasing their farm raised katahdin wethers this year (pictured) along side their Hamp- Katahdin cross lambs. Each of them will have 1 of their lambs for sale at the Livestock Auction on July 11th starting at 6pm.

What a great day at the Belle Fair!

Brought home lots of ribbons, 2 Supreme titles, and 2 showmanship winners. Proud of these kids hard work and determination even in this Missouri heat.

We came home to quite the surprise last night!

5 months ago one of our yearling show rams got in with the commercial yearling ewes for a few hours. Which makes for some surprise June lambs!

In the middle of lambing this year Kristin was working hard at perfecting her State FFA Degree to be able to apply for Star in Agricultural Placement. We are so proud of Kristin for reaching for the stars and being the Area XIV FFA Star in Agricultural Placement, and interviewed/competed to be State Star.

Some of her hours came from all of her time helping over the past 4 years on Cedar Creek Katahdins farm💙💛

Fun fact!

Did you know most lamb products sold in the grocery store (like Sam's Club) is imported from over seas.

If you have ever had store bought lamb meat and not cared for it please reach out to a local producer. Local lamb meat has a different flavor and you should try it for yourself!

On November 18th, we attended the Missouri Sheep Producers Annual Meeting. We had multiple great speakers, vendors, and were able to network with sheep producers from across the state!

It was a great event put on by great people!

Our meat is USDA inspected and ready for your families to enjoy. All cuts have been restocked!

We want to recognize some of our greatest supporters and behind the scenes helpers!

Our families are our greatest supporters and we wouldn't be able to accomplish anything without them! They help at home, ring-side, and around the farm. Not everyone is pictured that helps.

Dad aka Pops, stayed home and got farm chores done for us while gone to the state fair for a week! We might turn him into a sheep farmer after all 😉

2023 Missouri State Fair
