Look who I found out in the wild today ...

Chris from Checkered Static Media !!!

I had a chance to visit with him a week or two ago and forgot to get a picture ...

He started his page to help tell stories - people - history - small businesses- etc from around Greene county and beyond ....

And if you know me , you know I love this !!!

It goes right along with what I'm trying to do with my little Humanizing Our Neighbors project ... the difference is I give a short written summary about people ( because I myself have a short attention span , so I try to keep it where people like myself don't lose interest ) ...

Chris does sit down interview videos that are much more in depth and a wonderful way to get know your neighbors even better .

The faithful followers that like and comment regularly...

The lurkers that are here just to be nosy ...

The followers that are annoyed that I post to much ( sorry its what keeps the page alive ) ...

The ones that just check in every once in a while to see whats going on now ...

Theres a lot of you these days ...

Humanizing Our Neighbors:

Juanita is originally from Indianapolis and has called Bloomfield her home since 2022 ( she also added that she loves living in Bloomfield ).

Her grandmother was the last person in her family that was born on a reservation.

Juanita is a mom of 3 - grandma to 9 - great-grandma to 1 💗

She decorated cakes for over 10 years before she became a truck driver and then a truck driving instructor .

She loves chihuahua's and is passionate about chihuahua rescue.

Some of Juanita's favorite things include : working with her hands - all kinds of crafts - beading - crocheting - wood burning - painting - furniture painting/restoration - cake decorating - fishing - camping - her dream is to get a camper someday .

*** Juanita is the face behind all those beautiful earrings I posted a couple weeks ago ... we met a few years ago at a craft show and I had honestly forgotten that until she reminded me ... we've been Facebook friends for a little while and I have been blessed to get to know her better over the last few weeks .
She is super sweet , has an incredible spirit, a smile that can light up the room and is gifted with the ability to create many many beautiful things 💗
If you want to see some of her creations she has started a new page Earrings & Things and would love to connect with more locals 💗

Don't ruin a good thing !!!!!

We went over to Lighthouse Meats to check the dumpster there and this is what we found upon driving up ....

Someone opened the doors to put stuff in , but then left them open ... so now stuff has to be moved to get them closed .

If trash gets all over the parking lot we might not have the opportunity to ever do this again !

For those asking when we were there at 4:30ish the dumpster still had lots of room out in the middle , but will probably be full sometime tomorrow ...

The dumpster here is getting pretty full but still has some room , will also probably be full tomorrow ...

Once they are full that is it for this time ...

I hope to do it every spring and fall , but we have to be kind and respectful to the properties these are on and to the preferred waste guys that pick the dumpster up ( they should not have to pickup and move a bunch of trash to close the doors ) !!!

I will check both dumpsters again tomorrow mid day and if they are full will adjust original post ( because that is the one everyone is seeing ) to say that they are full and done for this time !!!

Thank you to allll who have supported this in one way or another ...
We will get a thank you / final post up soon after the dumpsters are dumped so you can thank all those who sponsored the dump fees !!!
