I was raised in the small town of Bloomfield, while my wife is from a larger city which is Springfield, Missouri. We have 6 children, who at different times help with our stand, as does my mom, when not working in her own concession stand. What had started out as a trial run as a part of my mom’s concession stand known as Momma Mary’s Kitchen out of Bloomfield, has grown to be a weekly endeavor. W
e love selling the Shake-Ups and serving the community. Since we started making Fresh Squeezed Shake-Ups, we have become known to many regular customers who can’t get enough of the taste that is refreshing. Many have told us that our Fresh Squeezed Shake-Ups beat the local fairs and festivals, and that keeps them coming back. We offer refills at a fraction of the price, which many love this idea. I use our Fresh Squeezed Shake-Up stand as a way to reach out to people and connect with other vendors to build strong relationships in the community, and have often bartered Shake-Ups for their products, as what was customary a long time ago amongst neighbors. We use real lemons, and we take pride in our effort and that combination is heavenly.
