Nearly 19 million eggs have been voluntarily recalled over potential Salmonella contamination.
This is one of the many reasons I believe in knowing where your food comes from.
My girls aren't packed into massive commercial barns. They're free-ranging, scratching, pecking, chasing bugs, pooping by my front door, and doing what chickens were meant to do. Their eggs aren't weeks old by the time they reach your kitchen, and they don't have to travel across the country before they land in your fridge.
If you're tired of buying bland, store-bought eggs with pale yolks and wondering where they came from, maybe it's time to make the switch to local.
