The Craft & Vendor Show at Lansing Corners is back on Sunday, November 8, from 11 AM to 3 PM!

We have some amazing local vendors lined up — handmade crochet, woodwork, jewelry, candles, skincare, baked goods, jams, pet treats and so much more. It's the perfect time to get a jump on your holiday shopping and support small businesses.

Over the next week we'll be introducing each of our vendors in the event discussion, so keep an eye out and share with your friends!

🧶✨ Well… I may have found my new obsession. 😂

While recovering from surgery, I decided it was finally time to give crocheting a real try. The funny thing is, I actually bought all the supplies more than two years ago… and then proceeded to struggle to actually start. 🤦‍♀️

Enter my friend, who helped me get past that mental hurdle and encouraged me to just GO FOR IT. A new yarn size later… BAM. I was off to the races! 🧶💨

What started as something to keep my hands busy during recovery has quickly turned into an absolute obsession. Now I have a tote full of adorable little plushies, and I’m constantly thinking about what I want to make next.

And since I clearly can’t keep them all for myself, some of my creations will be available for sale, and I’ll also be taking custom orders!

I’m hoping to start bringing my creations to some upcoming local events, so keep an eye out for me — and my ever-growing collection of yarn. 😅

This little hobby has brought me so much joy during recovery, and I’m excited to see where it goes. 💕🧶

🥚 Another day, another egg recall...

Nearly 19 million eggs have been voluntarily recalled over potential Salmonella contamination.

This is one of the many reasons I believe in knowing where your food comes from.

My girls aren't packed into massive commercial barns. They're free-ranging, scratching, pecking, chasing bugs, pooping by my front door, and doing what chickens were meant to do. Their eggs aren't weeks old by the time they reach your kitchen, and they don't have to travel across the country before they land in your fridge.

If you're tired of buying bland, store-bought eggs with pale yolks and wondering where they came from, maybe it's time to make the switch to local.

A Little Heads Up from Hen House & Co. ❤️

I wanted to give everyone a quick update!

I'll be having surgery on August 7th, which means I'll be stepping away from baking while I recover. My doctor expects I'll be out of the kitchen for at least 3 months, and possibly a little longer depending on how healing goes.

That means I only have TWO farmers markets left before my baking hiatus!

If there's something you've been wanting to try—or a favorite loaf, oatmeal cream pies, focaccia, cookies, or another treat you've been waiting for—now is the time to order! I'm happy to take pre-orders for my remaining markets or custom orders for pickup before surgery, as my schedule allows.

This little business has grown because of all of you, and I can't thank you enough for your support, encouragement, and every loaf, cookie, and jar of honey you've brought home. It truly means the world to my family.

Don't worry—Hen House Honey, freeze-dried treats, and a few other non-baked goodies will still be available while I'm recovering, so I won't disappear completely!

If you'd like to place an order before I head into surgery, send me a message. I'd love to bake for you one more time before I take a break.

Thank you all for understanding, and I can't wait to get back in the kitchen as soon as I'm able! ❤️🐓🍞
