Now that the west coast boy has made it, we welcome to herd :

CA BLACKBERRY FB GINGER CHEW

This past Saturday, Megan Pattison, Luca and I made the adventure to the Pittsburgh airport to pick up my new future herdsire.

I am soooo excited and smitten to be able to add this guy to our herd! I already have a few goats that are BlackBerry bred, so I can’t wait to be able to cross them with him!

I can’t thank CA BlackBerry enough for being so patient with me and for helping make this happen!

Ginger has multiple kids including Ca Blackberry’s IZ U Ready *B who has sired multiple daughters placing at the National show 2 different ones placing 2nd in their respective classes, 2 permanent champion daughters, EX91 appraised. Ginger placed at each of the 3 National Shows she’s attended including 4th as a 4 year old.

Firebal sired the 2nd place Junior kid at the 2025 National show along with the 12th place intermediate kid. His dam GCH Ca Blackberry’s TB Spicy Gingr became a permanent champion at the age of 2 years old and has a couple Best in Shows. Spicy has placed 5th at Nationals 2 years in a row, member of our 3rd and 4th place dairy herd those same years.

Our Doe 1*M Hard Frost Farm Imma Be gave us twins (D&B). This was one of our anticipated breedings. The sire of these is +B Rams BB AR Task Master, who has multiple GCH daughters.

The doeling is currently being retained. The buckling is currently available. Once ADGA catches up (if ever), this buckling will be a *B Buck. He will be ready to go after he is disbudded and tattoo’d. On a lambar and will also take a bottle.

Be is a doe that hand milks wonderfully and easily. She’s one that definitely puts the milk in the bucket. She will also pribably be available once we get some kids moved.

I’ve gotten a little behind on highlighting the rest of the breedings for this year. Soooooo the rest that are due soon will be a bit short and sweet.

Hard Frost Farm Imma Be (1*M pending) is confirmed (and currently due) AI’d to +B RAMS BB AR TASK MASTER. Be is one of our favorites to milk. Hand milks nicely, and with a machine, very very consistent with a nicely attached tight udder.

We will have kids available from this breeding.

It’s been a long past few weeks as our lives were turned upside down.

Amongst the heartbreak and chaos, two of our does had kidded.

Stella had twins and Mel had a massive single doeling.

Us farmers are not okay right now. Real feel of like -5, driving warm buckets of water to the barn animals, and loading everyone up with hay and warm alfalfa so they keep warm while you yourself can no longer feel your face, hands or feet.

We are not okay. lol.

“Stella” as we call her, is backed up some fun older-type genetics including: Goldthwaite, Six M Galaxy, Dairy Garden, Dancers Ridge, Magmar.

Stella is confirmed AI’d to ⭐️+*B DKGH CID’S EAST OF EDEN EX90! We are hoping to add some length, character and attachments without losing production. Stella did not lack in the milking department as a FF, producing over 3,000 #.

Stella is due 1/24 and reservations are closed for the time being.
