Hello all! First of all,I want to say thank you to everyone that has followed our page, liked our page, and supported our small business in it's infancy. I started Blooming Boxes (though it didn't have name at the time) 3 years ago because I missed having a job. I had a new little baby at home and wanting to find a way to make homemade items and make a little extra money on the side.
I started making soaps and really enjoyed it. Then a neighbor posted that they wanted to host a craft fair in our rural area and invited others to sell their products. I didn't have much to offer, so I looked into other bath products I could make from home.
I started adding shower fuzzies, chapsticks, and finally, the ever popular lotion bar. Then I made the decision to compile them all together in gift boxes. Blooming Boxes was born!
But as many know, starting a business of any kind includes a lot of mistakes, wrong turns, and redirection. Last year my sweet baby boy turned into a full blown temper tantrum toddler. I lost nap time, and the rest of the day was spent trying not to lose my mind while my son lost his.
Blooming Boxes was a bit of an afterthought last year. I had some amazing customers who supported me and pushed me to keep going. As we move into 2024, my toddler is no longer a tyrant, he has started a play school that he loves for a few hours a week, and I have a renewed sense of self and purpose for this year.
I have made the decision to delete the Blooming Boxes page and use our farm page Little Raccoon Creek Farm for all our different business ventures. It makes much more sense to have one big umbrella for all the different things we do and sell instead of trying to balance a bunch of different pages. I hope this year bring a lot of big changes to Blooming Boxes. The biggest of them all I hope will be to provide much more information, videos, pictures, and conversations about my products. So thank you for being a part of my beginning at Blooming Boxes and please follow us on our farm page for more information!!!
Lots of Love,
Leslie
