We welcomed a beautiful bull calf this weekend! Twin Springs Farm and Woods Edge Farm are not only neighbors, but raise their cattle together in the same pasture, so both families were able to delight in this handsome boy. We are happy to say both mama and baby are doing well.

Our first event is less than a week away! We still have a couple of tickets left. If you are considering joining us (and we would love you to) this is your sign to go ahead and buy those tickets. We are so excited to meet all of you!

Meet the hosts of our first Farm Table Bloomington dinner.
Collin, Caroline, Samuel, Sara, & James Farmer run and operate . Collin, Caroline, and Samuel all have their specialty interests, such as rabbits, horses, and dairy goats, respectively, being integral to the farm’s success. The kids are also highly involved in Monroe County 4-H with both animal and building projects on top of their skateboarding, soccer, and baseball habits. Sara spearheads the soap making, wool spinning, market garden planning, early plant care, and our online efforts. James leads the Jersey cow-herdshare,
pig operation, and haymaking endeavors. But in the end, they all work on everything together.

Meet our chef for our first event! Brandon Thorne has created a tantalizing menu centered around the freshest ingredients June has to offer. He has been working within the heart of Bloomington’s restaurant kitchens since 2006. He’s currently the Executive Sous Chef at C3 Bar where he’s been for the past six years. Brandon’s style of cooking is simple and approachable, letting the ingredients speak for themselves. He is excited to explore our local food landscape and share his passion with the Farm Table Dining Series.

Time to get to know some of our team! One of Farm Table’s founding members, Candace Beaucar - owner and sommelier of Monopole Tasting Room, located on the west side of the square in Bloomington - will pair fine wines with our local flavors to tie together this sensory palate. Candace has enjoyed 24 years of varied experience in the hospitality industry and brings a community-wide reputation as a fine wine and fine food expert. Multi-talented, Candace will bring her culinary expertise into the beginning and finishing courses.

Introducing Farm Table Bloomington! We are a collaborative of local farmers, chefs, and sommeliers passionate about creating dinners based on local food, held on local farms.
