Taking a baby to an IU football game? Consider this your unofficial mom guide 😂❤️🤍
We took our 4-month-old to her first game at Memorial Stadium and learned A LOT. Here’s what worked, what didn’t + what we’d do differently next time.
The tailgate was honestly the perfect home base. Shade, fans, bottles, diaper changes + plenty of extra hands before heading into the stadium.
We made sure she was comfortable and cool before making the trek inside.
One last bottle + a fresh diaper before heading in. 🍼🙌🏼
Future you will thank you when you’re settled into your seats and kickoff starts. 😂
Packing for game day looks a little different with a baby😅
Diapers, wipes, bottles, burp cloths, extra clothes, pacifiers, hearing protection, fans, sun protection + approximately 472 other things.
I linked EVERYTHING we packed - more on that at the end 👀
Clear backpack from Target: 0/10. It ripped by the SECOND QUARTER 😂
And plot twist: I didn’t even need a clear diaper bag at IU. Necessary diaper bags are allowed after inspection🙃
Now I just need WEAR by Erin Andrews to make the Game Day Diaper Bag in Indiana Hoosiers because I WANT IT. Until then, I’m getting dangerously close to buying the Ohio State one and figuring out how to change the logos 😂
Erin Andrews give the Hoosier moms what we want!!! ❤️🤍
Babywear. Babywear. Babywear. 🙌🏼
No strollers are allowed inside Memorial Stadium, so the Momcozy mesh carrier was one of our best decisions. It was more breathable for the heat, kept our hands free + made it easy for us to trade off carrying her.
The Shark Home Chill Pill fan was a GODSEND because it has a clamp that attached directly to her carrier.
Do NOT feel like you have to stay in your seats the entire game.
We used the concourse constantly for shade, cooling down + giving her a break from all the stimulation.
Honestly, one of the biggest things that made the day manageable.
Baby hearing protection was a non-negotiable for us🎧
We used the Alpine Hearing Protection baby headphones and loved them. They were easy to get on, stayed on well + gave me peace of mind when Memorial Stadium got LOUD.
Also…the tiny headphones😭❤️
We brought more fans than peop
