Loesch Farm

Loesch Farm 68 acres of woodland, organic pasture and gardens…and great parties. All real food starts on the farm.

Our purchase of the historic Loesch Farm west of Bloomington is our first step toward creating a true farmstead restaurant and brewery where we will grow and manage our own organic crops as ingredients. Already, we are growing hops, tomatoes, corn, beans, squash, and heritage breed pigs and water buffalo fed from our food scraps, in addition to turning our organic wastes back into the land where it belongs.

Why…Because the Gods have been good to us J

Here are the details:

The Luau is a Near Zero Waste event. Please BYO plates and tableware if possible. Use our keepsake Pizza X cups for beer or bring your vintage Pizza Express cup. Special prize for the oldest vintage Pizza Express cup at the Luau. We’ll have buckets for compost and a rinse station on the way out.

If beer is not your choice BYOM.

We’ll have seating but maybe not enough, so camp chairs are welcome.

Please don’t bring pets, they may get injured or may injure others.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a host who will direct you to fill out a short description of your dish. Please take a moment to do this as you arrive and put the tag with your dish. Desserts will go in the dessert tent, everything else on the hay wagons and surrounding tables.

Driving and Parking--Please Don’t Drink and Drive—If you’re planning to drink more than a couple beers over a several hour period, please plan ahead and make alternative transportation plans. Uber is a safe choice, or you’re welcome to camp, we have a hearty breakfast for a hardy few. If you wish to leave your car at the farm and retrieve it later it will be perfectly safe. Please be aware that the Karst Farm Greenway is now open at the front of our farm so be aware of pedestrian and bicycle traffic on the Greenway.

We look forward to seeing you at the Luau!

The 2025 Loesch Road Luau approaches!

Saturday Sept 20th.

Looking forward to a wonderful community party. Show up between 5-5:30 with a delicious homemade item to share. Great White Smoke will be roasting 250 lbs of local 4-H raised pork shoulder and beef brisket.

We’ll have some excellent kegs of BBC, or byom.

Following dinner, Andy Cobine and Linda Manus and their Wizard Pants Party band bring their annual funky, ethereal groove. Music ends at 10pm, then the biggest bonfire you’ve seen. Bring your drum. ❤️
