Update from county fair and state fair. Ryen was grand champion steer at our county fair with her Maine steer, Mamba (I-80). She went on to get reserve champion senior showman at the Indiana state fair this past Saturday showing mamba again, and was 1st in a tough class of Maine steers. Ashlee was 5th overall at county fair with her simi steer, ace (not pictured). Ryen was reserve supreme heifer with her a fuse heifer at county. We also had champion Charolais, reserve sim-solution and reserve cross heifers at the county fair. Ashlee also went on to win her class with her char heifer, duchess at the Indiana state fair (not pictured) We had great success with this steer (as well as with Ashlee's steer and all the heifers all year) and are sad to see him go, but couldn't have asked for a better steer to end Ryen's 4-H career. We also want to give a big thank you to everyone who has helped with this steer and supported us all year with the steers, heifers, and hogs... It's been a great summer!
