It’s ASTER SEASON!

This Smooth blue aster (Symphyotrichum laeve) is absolutely stunning and showing off. This single plant was put in the ground in JULY of this year—she went straight to the “leap” stage.

Asters are such an important late season food source (and also a fantastic substitute for those mums that don’t attract pollinators).

We still have smooth blue aster, aromatic aster, and New England aster available. Now is a great time to plant natives!

Worried about the egg recall? We aren’t.

Small farms do it best in terms of quality control and frankly, we’re the safest producers of food right now.

We always have farm fresh, pasture-raised eggs for $5/dozen. Message us to get yours!

So excited for the Downs Village Market today! See you 4pm-6pm.

We’re highlighting a few species that look especially awesome— lead plant, prairie blazing star, and some FINALLY ready rattlesnake master & blue wild indigo!

July is still a great time to plant. With some attention to watering, your prairie plants will thrive. They love this hot weather!

and of course, we have eggs from our happy healthy pasture raised hens.

Thank you for supporting us! It’s not easy being a farmer and nursery owner, especially as first-gen farmers who do much of our work with draft animal power.

We are so grateful for the enthusiasm and support of our community, we couldn’t do this without YOU!

We will be at the Downs Village Market tomorrow from 4-6 in Dooley Park with plants and eggs! Hope to see you there ❤️🦋

Bummer :(

We have garlic scapes we need to move or they’ll get pulverized into scape salt.

Pickup at the farm tomorrow morning and after 4pm. Shoot us a message and we will share the address! Have availability on Friday too.

We also have about 22 dozen eggs washed and ready to be the best damn egg you’ve ever eaten. We are only approved to sell plants at the Downtown Bloomington Farmers Market this Saturday so stop by the farm before then and do some shopping.
