My husband and I operate a fair concession and catering business.

We started Bissinger's Apple and Peach Dumplings at the Bloomsburg Fair in 1994. Our product is made on-site fresh daily. We use local apples and peaches and serve our dumplings with Manning's homemade cinnamon or vanilla ice cream. My Catering business was started with my sister-in-law in 1999. We offer homestyle comfort foods as our specialty. We have catered for 4-1200 people. We are only an off-premise caterer. We offer a wide variety of menus for all occasions or we can customize a menu to suit our client.

What an amazing preview night of the 2026 Bloomsburg Fair! You guys showed up, ready to eat and enjoy our favorite time of the year! 🍗🎟️🎪🎡🍎

We have had a blast over the last few days reading your guesses and just hearing stories of things that you guys love the most about our special fair! Thank you for making The Bloomsburg Fair special for us and including our family stand in some of your fondest family memories and traditions! From mutton busting, to first concerts, to first dates and marriages that last a lifetime, and stories of working or just enjoying a delicious apple dumpling- you guys certainly know how to make a place feel like home! 🏠

If you are local and had a chance to grab the newspaper yesterday, you’ll see and read why the Bloomsburg Fair is home to us and though change is hard, it’s inevitable! We’re so so so grateful for all the support we’ve had as the 3rd generation of Bissinger’s step in as we learn what it’s like to run the stand that our parents have literally grown up in! ❤️

Yesterday’s trivia was a tough one, so we decided to give the prize to a few winners who hit the nail on the head!! 🥳

Bloomsburg Fair is more than just a job for us, it is part of so many fond moments that we share as a family! Austin and I got engaged during the fair in 2022 and shared with our friends and family the exciting news that we were expecting our first little one during the 2024 fair! We are blessed to share these wonderful memories, among others, during this special week!

As the pictures show, Marlowe has no choice but to LOVE the fair and we hope to continue to show her what hard work, great friends and family by your side, and lots of fun looks like as she grows up under the red and white tent! She’s spent the week so far jumping in puddles and taking naps a few noisy fair naps❤️

WOW the giveaway yesterday was awesome!! We loved reading your guesses as to how much seating we have. It only took 9 minutes for someone to correctly guess that we can comfortably seat about 108 people under our tent at The Bloomsburg Fair!! (That’s WITHOUT getting too comfy with the person next to you) 🎪

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE BLOOMSBURG FAIR!! PLEASE SHARE! 📣📣

Buckle up, it’s long but worth the read!! ❤️

With our hometown event, The Bloomsburg Fair quickly approaching, we thought that it was time to share some bittersweet but exciting updates regarding our family business.

Bissinger’s Apple Dumplings began in 1994 as an extension of an existing family owned concession business; Ed & Dick’s Ice Cream (1961) After many years of learning from and traveling to fairs with her father, Ed; Cheri came up with the idea to serve up the family’s traditional ice cream on homemade apple dumplings. 33 years later, as a product of Cheri and her husband Kevin’s hard work and determination, we serve you the delicious apple & peach dumplings that you know us by today!

Being a concessionaire is not for the faint of heart but one thing has remained consistent throughout all the trials and successes; we are deeply rooted in our family values.

This year’s Bloomsburg Fair will look a little different as we begin the transition of bringing in the 3rd generation! While Kevin and Cheri are still vital, ever present owners of the business, they have decided that it was time to pass the torch to their son, Austin and his wife, Bryndil.

This transition will bring the closure of our stand on the amusements end of the fairgrounds as well as the kettle cooked soup stand. We’ve made these difficult decisions in order to devote our time and attention to our stand on Avenue B & 4th Street. We want to efficiently produce the same product you know and love and continue to grow the business as we step into some pretty big shoes!

We are excited to make this transition together as a family and hope to be able to serve our customers for another 30+ years!!

Today we got a visit from one of our long time customers, Mr. Dotterer! We always enjoy when he stops in for a chat and a cup of his favorite ice cream😉 if you know, you know!

Mr. Dotterer has been visiting us for more years than we can count! This year he will be celebrating his 100th birthday! 🎉

How many years have YOU been enjoying ice cream or dumplings from Bissinger’s? Our family has been serving up delicious scoops at the Centre County Grange Fair since 1964, and we hope to serve you for many more years to come! 🍦
