When you have plans, but a cold snap and a leaky water line shift gears, it’s easy to get caught up in the grumbling and complaining.

I did.

But God is greater than myself, and His word says to not complain or grumble.

So I reset my mind. And sat watching the meter. And thanked God that we had a meter while others don’t even have running water.

I won’t say my attitude was totally fixed, but God is still working on me.

Don’t forget the cool stuff when you ride. Being able to have fun and test your partnership is one of the best things you can do for you and your horse, especially when you have a lot on your plate every day like this rider does. Every ride matters. Focused hard training is good, but sometimes just let go and have some fun too. You’ll be glad you did. God did this!
