🎃 LOCAL VENDORS & CRAFTERS WANTED!
We're looking for a few more local food, craft and artisan vendors to join us at Cate Farms on Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
We're putting together our first one-day fall celebration at Pappy's Pumpkin Patch with 400+ farm-grown pumpkins, live music, storytelling, food, local vendors, Indian corn and cornstalks — and hopefully some late-season sunflowers and zinnias still in bloom.
We'd especially like to hear from local makers and crafters — woodworking, pottery, candles, soaps, jewelry, fall décor, handmade goods, honey, jams, baked goods, specialty foods and other locally made products.
There is no vendor fee. The event will be outdoors, and vendors will provide their own setup.

🎃 Something is taking shape at Cate Farms…
This is our first pumpkin crop, and apparently our pumpkins didn't get the memo about our schedule! The harvest came a little earlier than we expected — so we're going with it.
We're putting together a one-day fall celebration at Pappy's Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, September 19, and we're looking for a couple of local food vendors and local musicians who might like to join us.
We've already harvested more than 400 pumpkins grown right here on the farm, along with colorful Indian corn and cornstalks. And if Mother Nature cooperates, we should still have some beautiful sunflowers and zinnias blooming too. 🌻
We're keeping this first year simple, local and fun.

COMING IN 2027 — THE HISTORIC HOLSTON HOUSE

A new chapter is coming to Cate Farms.

Our 1898 Victorian farmhouse will soon open its doors for intimate celebrations — bridal and baby showers, tea parties, luncheons, anniversaries and small weddings.

Beautiful china. A historic setting. A more intimate way to gather and celebrate.

🎃 Okay… we’ve bragged enough about the sunflowers. Take a look at the PUMPKINS!

We planted our pumpkin patch at Cate Farms on June 11th... and just a little over two months later, look at this!
The vines have taken off, pumpkins are growing underneath, and every trip through the patch seems to reveal another one we hadn’t seen before.
We’re still learning as we go, but I have to admit… I’m pretty proud of this little pumpkin patch. 🎃

Fall is coming to Cate Farms. 🍂

Sunflower Harvest at Cate Farms! 🌻

These beauties put on quite a show this summer. Now we’re hoping the new sunflowers we planted will be blooming just as bold when we open the farm for pumpkin picking in late September. 🎃🌻

Rain couldn't stop National Sunflower Day at Cate Farms. 🌻

The skies finally cleared just in time for a beautiful evening among the sunflowers. Families, friends, and photographers joined us to enjoy the blooms, capture a few memories, and celebrate one of summer's brightest flowers.

To everyone who spent part of your Saturday with us... thank you.
National Sunflower Day only comes once a year, but the sunflowers aren't finished just yet. We'll enjoy them for as long as Mother Nature allows before our farm begins its transition into fall.

And that's when the next chapter begins. 🎃
In just a few weeks, Cate Farms will welcome the community back for our pumpkin season, complete with pumpkins and photo opportunities.

Thank you for supporting our family's farm. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
