Today is "thinning" day at Pelican Tree Farm.
We all know that trees need good soil, water and sun to grow big and healthy. This section of woods probably has never been thinned out since the original planting.
So today, invasive trees are getting chipped up, small pines are getting turned into campfire wood and the larger pines will be milled into beams and boards.
