Well for once a cow “listened” when the weather said impending blizzard snow storm and had her calf when the grass was still green and nice out!!🤪 Wylda had her calf before the blizzard!! Wylda redefines “helicopter” parent!! If this calf gets more than two feet away the calf is getting an ear full from his mother!! Can’t wait till he gets the zoomies and runs around with the rest of the newbies then it’s hilarious with the mothers!! But on a positive note as much as Wylda hates going in the barn she had little Chavez in the friendly confines of the barn this morning outta the snow storm!! Meet S5Minis CHAVEZ!! Excited about this guy as he’s a box on feet and gonna be good!!!

Been a busy winter! S5 Minis ChittersFullClark arrived early then had a little break and now back into it with two more on the ground in a week!! One at -7below one at 50 degrees a week apart!! More to come!!!

All the work is done on him. Halter broke to tie and lead but his show time is up. Has one calve on the ground and the cows he was running with this summer came back bred. When he is all fancied up he does have the darker coloring, if that is what you’re looking for! He is long and muscular. Plus current calf in ground is nice looking as well!! Down sizing herd as we don’t need two bulls any more and my free labor has moved on to full time jobs and college!! Vaxed and poured last week. PM with any questions and info. Thank you all!!

Lil Bobby has had enuff of this weaning/halter breaking bu****it after two days!! Scoping out the escape via feedbunk style!! Sick of the new salad diet and no more milk buffet!! Has no voice left but his mother does on the other side of pens!🤪🤪

American Royal Recap!! Kansas City!Wow what a fun weekend! Decided to get our best steer we’ve raised in the ring one more time and a couple newbies! Faired well on the national stage! Leroy out steer finished in 4th place jr and open show!Barbie(Dixies little heifer) finished 4th in jr and fifth in open in her class. She was simply over matched for this show. Then was our upcoming jr bull Bruno! He finished 3rd in class and has some growing to do but is gonna be alright!!This was a great opportunity to learn from the best in this business! Thanks to all who helped at home Jordon and mom and on the road!! Thanks babe for doing the fitting thanks C for doing the showing one more time and good job me in the wash bay!!🤣

What another fun run down at the Clay County Fair 2025!!!Knew it was goona be tough to top last year but this year didn’t disappoint!! My heart is absolutely FULL as Miss Dixie made her show ring debut! She has been working towards this for a year now and really wanted to be in there with Papa. Dixie had her calf Barbie in the ring with me assisting. The determination on this kids eyes was second to none! We got Barbie to do what she was supposed to and Dixie earned her first ribbon and it just happen to be a pink ribbon to go with her calf Barbie! Not gonna lie I shed a tear when the ring assistant gave her the ribbon! She was all smiles!! Then came CAilynn with our best opportunity with our jr bull calf outta Dragon Loves Tacos! It was a strong class and C absolutely nailed it! She was able to show Bruno to the top of the class for the jr bull class champion and get to the final drive against the older bulls! He held his own but was justifiably over taken by some impressive yearling bulls!! Goona keep on him and he will hold his own next year!! Bubba was there as well paitently waiting his turn to get in the ring in a couple years!! Congrats to all exhibitors that were there well done with the minis again as they out numbered most of the other full size breeds and is getting bigger every year!! See ya all next year!! Got the kids all settled in for the next three days at the Clay County Fair!! Can’t beat this fair!! Best damn one around!!!
