PETS, PEOPLE, PIPES, SUNDAY NIGHT⚠️
Talk about some painfully cold temperatures on the way for Sunday night. We’ll have low temperatures in the teens and strong winds producing wind chills in the single digits to low teens. This will be dangerous cold! Sunday night, make sure all pets are inside. If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them. Drip pipes and open cabinets for pipes along exterior walls. Check on family and neighbors. And please, do not use any heating source inside that will create carbon monoxide.

As the system producing those soaking rains Monday night and Tuesday pulls away, colder air starts to filter back in. Northwest flow snow flurries may be possible across the higher elevations of the mountains. Little to no accumulation expected.

Here is what the overnight European model is kicking out for snow. Best chances will be in the Smokey Mountains in North Carolina and Tennessee! This is NOT a major winter storm, but any snow in the south can cause problems. My concern for NORTH GEORGIA is not so much accumulating snows, but that it gets the roads wet and causes black ice to form Monday night! I would put this as a low risk event for now, but will continue to monitor this week! - Meteorologist Greg Majewski

"Our grandparents bought houses on one paycheck, now we can’t even cover rent on the two of us working!"

Well, maybe that’s ‘cause Grandma wasn’t spendin’ half her money on fancy coffee and pumpkin spice muffins. She brewed her own—thick enough to stand a spoon up in it. Brunch? That was called leftovers.

Now folks complain about being broke with big houses, two fancy cars, and half a dozen subscriptions. And kids today? “Johnny needs the new smart phone!” No, he doesn’t. He’s six!

When we were kids, one phone hung on the wall. One TV in the living room. If Daddy was watchin’ wrestling, everybody liked wrestling. Somehow, we got by.

Now every room has a giant screen, the baby’s got an iPad, and folks can’t figure out where their money went. Because you’re living like movie stars on a biscuit budget.

Grandpa wasn’t drivin’ Teslas or drinkin’ fancy smoothies. He had a beat-up old truck that got the job done and never complained. They just worked hard and made do.

So yeah, Grandpa bought a house on one paycheck… and they lived within their means. ☕ Maybe it’s time we do the same.
