Not sure if Ellie likes to work cattle or just roll in cow s**t! She's good at both. We had a wonderful cattle trial,the purpose of the trial is to allow handlers that would like to go to the National cattle finals a chance to get qualified. Several young handlers did qualify and are going to Iowa this October to the the National cattle finals.
A BIG thank you goes to Rick Wall and his dog Dottie for doing the majority of set out, Heather Shahan and her dog Rogue were the best exhaust "what a dog". The Canadian girls ,Jo Silva and Kate-Lynn Skinner took care of all the judging and paper work, Steph Clark provided lunch Fri and Sat. Phyllis was away in California at our granddaughters graduation. I was basically lost and confused most of the weekend. I did manage to cook a brisket for Sat handlers dinner. Everyone jumped in an helped! Thank you so much.
A little training tip,working good dog broke cattle can improve your dogs focus and confidence.
