We wrapped up our annual grocery program this week. We still have ~10 spots left for Thanksgiving if you would like to sign up to receive assistance. The “Grocery Assistance” sign up form can be found directly on our website at www.manypartsonebody.org.

We are less than three weeks away from serving dinner to the families at Ronald McDonald House KC! On Monday October 26th, we’ll be providing chicken burrito bowls for nearly 100 people that are currently staying in the RMHC KC locations.

We are currently looking for a sponsor for all of the chicken and rice on that Monday night! If you or someone you know would like to help sponsor the chicken and rice, it will go towards an amazing cause. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

Yesterday we had the privilege to provide pulled pork for 150 people at the annual flagship event for the Missouri Disabled Sportsmen. The work that MDS does for our community is absolutely incredible. We’re proud to be able to continue our partnership with them again this fall. Thanks again for allowing us to serve with you all!

We are thrilled to announce that Looney Lights LLC has stepped up to be our TITLE SPONSOR for our Thanksgiving distribution efforts. Our goal this year is to be able to provide 100 families with enough food for four people to have an entire Thanksgiving meal. We’ve set up a GiveButter Campaign where 100% of donations will go towards food for local families this Thanksgiving. In order to feed 100 people, we’ll need 74 more $40 donations. We can’t thank the folks at First Bible Baptist Church and ADP Sports enough. This morning they presented us with a check for $15,000 from the efforts of their annual charity golf tournament. 136 golfers came out in August to support our missions, and several local businesses chipped in to sponsor the event.

Thanks to their generosity, we were able to approve FULL FUNDING for our 2027 Grocery Assistance Program. The program will operate at the full $10,000 from January to October next year. With two months to go this year, we’ve already provided food over 2,800 meals to nearly 50 different families in Eastern Jackson County.

Thank you again to Pastor Josh, Pastor Mark, Sheryl, Nancy, Bryon, and EVERYONE involved in making this golf tournament possible, and for choosing our missions to support with your treasures. We will never be able to thank you enough for helping us serve our community. God Bless you all.

PSA: Our monthly Grocery Assistance Program is completely booked out for the rest of 2026. We will, however, continue to use our “Grocery Assistance Request Form” on our website to facilitate help for Thanksgiving. We’re not sure what Thanksgiving looks like for us just yet, but we WILL be doing something and you can sign up for assistance NOW at www.manypartsonebody.org.
