🌻📚 Back to School at Union Springs Highlands! 📚🌻

We hope all of your little farmers are having a great year back at school! 🍎✏️🐮

Around here, we’re soaking up the last little bit of summer while getting ready for a fun-filled fall on the farm! 🍂🤎

We have lots to look forward to at Union Springs Highlands—Creative Pasture art days, visits with our Highland cows, fall fun, and plenty of sweet farm memories ahead.

🎨🐮 Creative Pasture Art & Craft Club is coming to the farm this September & October! 🍂

Come enjoy a fun hour of arts, crafts, farm fun, and new friends while spending time with our fluffy Highland cows! 🤎

We’ll be creating fun fall and farm-themed projects, making friends, and of course making time for plenty of cow visits!

From the pool to farm chores, Natty has been staying busy! 🐮💛 Evenings are spent taking care of Sophie’s bottle feedings, going for walks around the farm, checking on the rest of the herd, and ending the day with goodnight kisses from James and Ana.

We’re so excited to introduce Cookies, Baby Cow Cuddles & Santa—a magical, sensory-friendly Christmas experience designed to create lasting memories for the whole family.

Bring your own camera and enjoy:
🤎 Cuddles with our baby Highland cows
🎅 A visit and photos with Santa
🍪 Cookies and holiday cheer

Each family will have a private reserved time slot, creating a calm, relaxed experience with:
✨ No crowds
✨ No waiting in long lines
✨ Plenty of time for photos and baby cow cuddles

We’re happy to accommodate sensory needs whenever possible to help make this a special experience for every child.

🎄 We’re so excited to officially open bookings for our Christmas Morning with the Babies photography site rental! 🐮☕

Step into a cozy Christmas morning scene complete with a hot cocoa theme, warm blankets, festive décor, and the sweetest snuggles with our baby Highland cows. It’s the perfect setting for holiday family photos, couples, children, or cozy pajama sessions!

📸 This is a site rental only. Families are welcome to bring their own photographer, or photographers may reserve the set for their own Christmas mini sessions.

🤎 We know some of our little visitors were a bit nervous around our full-grown Highland cows last year. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to meet and interact with the youngest members of the farm in a calm, relaxed setting. While every child is different and we can never guarantee how they’ll respond, many families find the babies to be a gentle introduction to farm animals.

🌿 We are also happy to accommodate sensory needs whenever possible. If your child has specific sensory preferences or accommodations that would help make their visit more comfortable, just let us or your photographer know when booking and we’ll do our best to create a positive experience.

• 1-hour minimum rental
• Additional time available in 30-minute increments after the first hour
• This is a mock-up of the set. Décor and layout may vary slightly based on weather, natural lighting, and the final setup.

This week on the farm has been spent taking care of our Sophie girl. 🩷

She gave us a pretty big scare last week, and we weren’t sure she was going to make it. Thankfully, she’s doing so much better and getting the best care.

That also means Natty has taken on one of her biggest farm jobs yet! Every day she’s learning what it means to care for an animal with love and responsibility. She helps give Sophie her bottle, brushes her, sprays on her fly medicine, gives her lots of extra love after her shots, and is even learning how to put on Sophie’s halter so they can go on walks together.

Safe to say these two have become the best of friends, and Sophie has a pretty special little farm helper by her side. 🐮🤍

Our sweet Sophie has had a rough few days that ended with an emergency trip to the vet two nights ago and an overnight stay last night. Thankfully, she was able to come home today looking and feeling so much better. 🩷

She still has a road to recovery ahead of her, filled with bottle feedings, extra care, and lots of love—but we’re so thankful to have her back on the farm!

Here’s to healing, growing stronger every day, and getting back to her happy little self! 🐮💕
