Will is a beef guy - except for breakfast when he orders a double order of bacon at the General Store in Bluffton 🐮 🐷 but really... it's all GOOD!
When life starts to move too fast, we like to spend a little time with the hogs.
As a cattle farmer and meat producer, it can seem odd that some of Will Harris' closest friends are vegans and vegetarians. Thanks The Wall Street Journal for having Will up to discuss all things regenerative agriculture.

Our browsing goats love to sun in the pasture and dine in the tree line.
I never thought we'd have a drone on the farm, but I'm glad we do - now we get to see what the birds see when we are moving cattle.
Decades ago, we routinely wormed our livestock to keep our herds free of parasites. What we didn't understand was the harm we were doing to our dung beetle population by using these products on our livestock.
Science is so quick to give us tools to fight Nature's natural order of things - we were being sold products to fight the symptoms, but not find the cure.
Nature already sent the cure, we just weren't tuned in enough to recognize it.
In the Fall of 2021, Will Harris founded the Center for Agricultural Resilience , whose mission is to educate, empower, and equip individuals and organizations on the benefits of resilient agriculture.
Will has always preached that regenerative agriculture is not very scalable, but it is very replicatable.
It is our hope to see a regenerative farm in every agricultural county in the United States, so more farmers can restore land and feed their communities.

We are excited to announce that our freezer and ground beef production room construction is now complete!
Our business has evolved steadily over the last 15 years, and with that our processing needs have changed, too. Our new freezer allows us to stock more of the items you love. And, in our ground beef room sits our brand new packaging machine. Our old rollstock has about a million hours on it and has been rebuilt more times that we can count. It's exciting to be on the heels of a new year with all of the tools we need to make 2025 a great one!

The Center for Agricultural Resilience (CFAR) was built to educate thought leaders on the environmental, economic and social benefits of building resilient animal, plant and human ecosystems that can nourish our communities. The CFAR mission is to inspire a rethinking of the system by demonstrating what has been actually accomplished and scaled on a working farm, on a realistic budget, by real world business people.
We are proud of Jackson and all of the neat things he's accomplished in the Leather Shop! Join Jackson for our next episode of Day on the Farm in the Makerspace.
