Ten years ago today, we celebrated the Grand Opening of our General Store, located in downtown Bluffton, Georgia. We've been fortunate to greet thousands of guests from all over the world since then and have been blessed to make wonderful memories here. We look forward to so many more!

​Our General Store was built in the mid-1800's and served our community until 1968, when Herman Bass, the original owner, closed. It's special for us to be able to operate that same store today. We are grateful for all of the hard work that went in to bringing this vision to life, especially from our dear friend, Ken Penuel.

White Oak Pastures never set out to have a “school.” But In August of 2025, Bluffton Outdoor Academy (BOA) became a real life dream come true. The desire to rethink education for our next generation became necessary, so we got to work! What started off as a homeschool experiment has blossomed into a full blown outdoor learning opportunity rooted in downtown Bluffton in the heart of White Oak Pastures. We are so grateful to have our children close each day, learning about the natural world that surrounds them.
