🌸Sunday Evening at the Giving Garden! 🌸

We returned home from vacation to overflowing flower beds and gardens full of fresh vegetables, so we thought we'd do something a little different!

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. this evening (Sunday), the Giving Garden cart will be transformed into a Build Your Own Bouquet Bar!

We'll have buckets filled with fresh-cut flowers for you to choose from, along with a selection of jars and vases. Feel free to use one of ours, or bring your own favorite vase or mason jar to create something uniquely yours.

We'll also have floral snips, water, and floral food available so you can arrange your bouquet before taking it home.

As always, everything is free and shared with love.

Come tonight at 6:30pm and create something beautiful. We can't wait to see what you make! 💛🌼

We still have openings for our final Parlor City Community Garden Class on September 9th at the 4H Park at 6 pm, where Molly Hoag will be teaching you how to preserve your harvest.

We are so excited to partner with the Bluffton Parks Department and the Parlor City Community Garden to bring a FREE Flower Bar to our community!

Come spend some time creating your own beautiful bouquet using flowers from our gardens while enjoying a fun and relaxing time together.

Space is limited, so be sure to call the Bluffton Parks Department to register and reserve your spot.

We are excited to finally have a more permanent spot for the cart at sidewalk/alley level at 320 E. South Street, Bluffton! It should make stopping by much safer and easier…especially after a rain, since you no longer have to walk up the wet and small grassy hill.

A big thank you to our neighbors, Krent Reinhard and his father, Roger, for bringing over their bobcat to help remove all the dirt, and to my husband, Mike, for building the retaining wall. Your kindness and willingness to serve with your talents is greatly appreciated!

Tomorrow afternoon, the cart will be full! You’ll find colorful flower arrangements featuring dahlias, zinnias, and explosion grass, along with fresh cabbage, cucumbers, eggplant, and peppers from the garden. Veggies!!! Tomatoes will be coming on soon.

One of my favorite things about this time of year is seeing all the beautiful colors God brings to life. We hope these flowers and fresh vegetables brighten your day as much as they've brightened ours.

🇺🇸As we celebrate the blessings of this Independence Day weekend, I'm so grateful for the freedoms we enjoy…and even more grateful for the freedom and hope we have in Christ. He is our firm foundation, the rock on which we stand!

The flower cart is out in the front yard today with free wrapped bouquets and several flower arrangements. My prayer is that each one brings a little beauty, encouragement, and a reminder that God sees you, loves you, and is always faithful.

Stop by the cart and pick up some flowers to begin the new week.

The Giving Garden Cart is out in the front yard at 320 E South Street!

Today we have a few fresh flower arrangements to brighten your day, along with garden produce that is beginning to come in! We have several heads of cabbage ready to share, plus walking onions and walking onion bulbs for you to take home and grow.

If you aren’t familiar with walking onions, they are a fun and unique perennial onion that grows year after year. Instead of only producing bulbs underground, they grow small “bulbils” at the top of their stalks that eventually bend down and plant themselves…allowing the onion to “walk” across your garden! They are hardy, easy to grow, and a wonderful addition to a home garden.

We also have something fun to share.
A friend gifted us tomato plants from their compost pile, and these are a little mystery! They could be Roma, cherry, or Big Boy tomatoes. We won’t know until they grow! But that’s part of the joy of gardening… sometimes the sweetest surprises come from unexpected places.
