My mother, Kerry Annette Brannon Huskey, spent her career educating children and concerned about their education and welfare. She was mother to more than just me through the years because I've heard other people talk about her like they would talk about their own mother. One of the things she did for me, was to get me Highlights magazine, which I loved. If you have a son or daughter or grandchild, niece, nephew or a child you care about, please consider ordering them a subscription to show how much you care. You wouldn't believe how much it meant to me to get something in the mail every month that I loved and, as an adult, I look back and am so grateful for the woman who ordered it for me. It's educational and fun, but means so much more than that to the child who receives it. I think it's a great way to honor the memory and service of not only my mother, but to all teachers and educators who spend their life raising the next generation. I can't recommend it enough.
