I often get ask why I promote other food trucks instead of just working toward my own business.
You see, when we first started, we were the low men on the totem pole. We have been there when other people were covered up and we had nobody. We struggled when it came to knowing what to do. There were a couple people that really stopped and helped us and told us how we could improve. Some things we had to figure out the hard way.
What I can tell you is if I can help someone bypass a lot of things, I am going to tell them. If I see another one of my “people” struggling, I am going to show up to their truck and I am going to give them my business! It costs me zero dollars and only 5 seconds of my time to like their post and share it with you.
As long as Lena has been in this business, she and I serve mostly the same foods, but we still call each other and ask for feedback or suggestions. Last year we were both at an event and again selling the same foods and we both done well. She forgot her can opener and her kids comes knocking on the door. You think I looked at him and told him no? I didn’t blink I passed it out the door to him. Last year Boaz Harvest Festival, Jason and I were getting our backside handed to us. Ellie Bs unloading my car, throwing my ice in their cooler, knocking on the door and asking do we need more of our ice.
What I’m getting at, there is enough business to go around and some of you should be ashamed of yourselves for not helping the new trucks.
