The best way to end a water fast is with watermelon! 🍉

Watermelon is gentle on the digestive system, incredibly hydrating, and naturally rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. After giving the body a period of rest through fasting, watermelon provides nourishment without feeling heavy or overwhelming.

I’m actually transitioning from my water fast into a watermelon feast! 🍉✨ It feels so refreshing, satisfying, and nourishing. The high water content helps with hydration, while the natural sweetness makes it feel like such a treat after several days of fasting.

Love watermelon!! It’s nutrient, dense and super yummy in season!

Today was the day I broke my fast after 3½ days of water fasting—85 hours with no food, only filtered water. I did add a tiny amount of liquid minerals to help support my electrolyte levels.

I’m happy to say that refeeding with watermelon was incredibly nourishing and delicious! 🍉 But I only ate a small amount because it’s very important not to overeat after a water fast. Giving the digestive system time to gently wake back up is all part of the process.

This fast provided an opportunity for rest, reflection, and renewal. I’m feeling grateful for the experience and looking forward to easing back into eating with simple, water-rich fruits.
