Foodie friends, it is with a heavy heart that I write this post. Cottage Witch is closing. The Kendall County health department has determined that some of my best selling products are not allowed under the cottage food laws, without these products I cannot sustain my business. Why it took me reaching out to work with them on moving to the next level, I honestly don't know. Please understand, there are no issues with the quality of the products, it's simply a matter of what rules the products fall under and the determination of the county you live in. After working so hard to build this business over the past year, this breaks my heart. With all of that being said, I am selling my barely used vendor trailer and other equipment. I don't have favorites, but if I did, Umami Rub would be in the running. It's earthy, well rounded, and comforting. I love this on anything, but especially steaks and eggs. Mushrooms, garlic, sage, rosemary, onion, sea salt, and freshly ground pepper. Just amazing. Come out to Boerne market days this weekend for a tasty taste.
