Dear Valued Patrons,



With heavy hearts, we must announce that Plankowner Brewing will be closing our doors for good. Your support, encouragement, and friendship over the years have meant the world to us, and we are incredibly grateful to have been a part of your lives and this wonderful community.



Unfortunately, a combination of economic challenges—including rising insurance costs in South Carolina, high interest rates, and the ever-increasing cost of real estate—has made it unsustainable for us to continue operating. After careful consideration, we’ve decided that we will not be looking to reopen in the future.



While this chapter may be coming to a close, the memories we’ve created together—filled with laughter, camaraderie, and craft beer—will remain with us always. Thank you for every visit, every kind word, and every moment spent with us. We couldn’t have made it this far without you. We are proud to have been a part of the community and to have been able to help and support so many local charities and organizations throughout the Upstate area.



We hope to see you around the community and at other local establishments as we all continue to support one another.

Buy our friends’ brewery!!

Our friends at Outside Influence Brewing have an amazing opportunity for someone to buy their brewery!!

If you haven’t already visited, it’s a must see spot in the charming downtown Chesnee!

We are putting the brewery up for sale. There have been some big changes in our family…both of our daughters are moving out of state. We are going to take this opportunity to spend some time traveling - often between thee two of them to visit the grandkiddos.
We are hoping to find someone who wants to keep the brewery a brewery, or at least a tap room. If you know anyone who may be interested, send them our way!
We will still be here for our first anniversary party on June 8th, so mark your calendars for that!!!!

The location of our new brewery and taproom is still up in the air 🥲

For now, the tanks are safely stored until we find them a new home

Rest assured we are actively seeking a building that will meet all of our needs and we’ve even expanded the area of our search

We’re sorry this process is taking forever
We miss seeing you and we miss making beer

As soon as we have a new spot secured, we will be sharing it here

Still no update on a new location, but we are still looking at every property we can and we’re so thankful for our realtors!

It’s also kinda exciting because we can’t wait for a new space and we know with every day that passes, we’re one day closer to seeing you again!!

#1 in the state for Siren’s Call- our sour, #3 in the state for Spartoberfest- our Märzen and also #3 in the state for John Paul Jones- our red ale!!!

We’ve been hard at work this week finishing packing!

We moved our kegs into temporary offsite storage

We moved our tanks into the taproom for safekeeping until we can move them offsite

And we celebrated the hard work with a well deserved beer!

Tomorrow (before noon!) is your very last chance to come by the brewery to top off any growlers
