My little helper has been following me around all season as I water, tend, and fuss over these beauties. Sharing just a few of the special creations you’ll only find here on our farm.

This is the time of year when all the hard work starts to feel especially worth it. The weather has made this season a little different, but continuing to tend and care for this incredible collection feels especially meaningful right now. So grateful for every bloom.

Sometimes the simplest farm flowers carry the sweetest scents. 🌿💐 Yarrow adds a soft earthy aroma, mint brings a fresh cooling note, sage contributes a warm herbaceous fragrance, and fennel offers a hint of sweet anise. Together they create the wild, garden-fresh smell that makes a bouquet feel like summer on the farm. FlowerFarmer

Last season I stored 26 onion crates full of dahlia tubers for the winter, and this weekend planted all but 9 crates of them back into the ground (so far)🌸

To make room, I had to build a brand-new 60-foot dahlia row—and I may need to add another one before I’m done. What started as a tuber collection has officially become a dahlia obsession.

After a weekend of digging, planting, hauling, and dreaming about summer blooms, I’m feeling it in every muscle—but I also managed to close all my rings in the process. 💪🌱

There’s something satisfying about seeing months of planning and storing finally come back to life in the field. Now we wait for sunshine, growth, and armloads of flowers.

Poppies are one of those quiet overachievers—many varieties actually prefer to be direct sown in the fall, using winter to naturally stratify and emerge stronger in spring.

This year, they’re exceeding every expectation. And honestly… I needed that reminder. Feeling a little behind lately, but these blooms are proof that the work put in last season doesn’t disappear—it shows up when it’s ready, often more beautifully than you imagined.

Sometimes the best days are market days 🤍 We get to see each other, bring our bounty together, and fulfill some really special orders for local florists—getting Idaho-grown blooms into the hands of so many. It’s more than a passion… it’s a way of life. For me, that means no pesticides or harmful chemicals—just flowers grown the way nature intended. They smell different, they feel different, and the pollinators here absolutely love them. There’s something really special about bringing that kind of beauty into your home 🌿✨

When the world kicks me down, I come back here 🌱
Back to the routine. Back to the rhythm. Back to the quiet, steady work of growing.

These dahlia seedlings don’t rush. They just keep going—rooting, reaching, becoming. And somehow, that steadiness pulls me forward with them.

Good things do happen when I put in this work. Honestly, it feels like some of the most important work I’ll ever do.
