Hello Friends! It has been a long time since my last check-in, but get ready for a bunch of posts. I am getting ready to leave to work as a missionary NEXT WEEK. I can hardly believe it! As you know, I have some of the best farm cats and dog that could ever be asked for, and right now they need your help.

Kenai is a 3-year-old Rough Coat Collie, and he needs a foster home for the next year. Over the last several months I had a couple of different homes planned for him while I am serving as a missionary overseas, but they have fallen through. He is well-behaved, trained, and listens, he is great with people of all ages - been tested with infants up - he just loves everybody! He is chill and happy to be a couch potato every day in a small space (he's been living happily in an RV for almost a year), or to hike in the mountains with you. He would love to snuggle inside, but is also good being outside most of the time in any weather if necessary. He is seriously low-maintenance. I think he would do great with a family, perhaps one that is considering getting their own dog and wants to try it out, but he'd really do great with anyone. I want to keep in touch and check in on him while I'm gone. He'll come with everything he needs.

I also have 4 kittens - 3 orange boys and 1 grey girl. They are so sweet and adorable. And I have 2 adults, a brother and sister (they do not have to stay together) that are the best cats I have EVER had. I will miss them desperately. They are sweet, affectionate, great with other animals, and comfortable inside and outside. All of them will be rehomed for free, but I would appreciate consideration of contributing to my mission fund. Please let me know if you are interested in any of them or know someone who is, and please feel free to share. 😊

Hello friends! I was so warmed by the overwhelming support that came when I announced that the farm would be closing and I would be moving in order to enter the mission field. Thank you! ❤️ It was amazing, from start to finish, I downsized the entire homestead, sold everything, rehomed ALL the animals, packed, and moved into an travel trailer in about 3 weeks. Incredible. So I am beyond grateful to all of you and to God, for everything. Sadly, it is time to say that Little Feather Farm is officially closed... for now. Someday it will reopen, in God's timing.

For now, this page will stay active and I will occasionally use it to communicate with this community. I am also happy to say that I am almost finished with my book "The Basics of Raising Meat Rabbits" and I will be looking to publish soon.

I have also decided that even though I no longer have the farm, I would love to continue teaching my rabbit classes and workshops, and in the spring I will be hosting more of them. Stay tuned.

This is the reality of what my life has been for a long time. I am sad to close the door on this part if my life for a time, but I am looking forward to remembering what it is like to not constantly have a lidt of projects piled higher than me and rediscover some rest.
