Garcinia livingstonei, commonly known as African mangosteen or Imbe, is a versatile evergreen fruit tree native to tropical Africa. It produces attractive orange fruit with a unique sweet-tart flavor and is highly valued in Florida landscapes for its dense canopy, exceptional drought tolerance, and ability to withstand coastal conditions, including salt spray. Both ornamental and productive, Imbe is a hardy, low-maintenance addition to tropical and subtropical gardens.
