Started in the mid 1980's by Maynard Owens and wife Peggy as an after retirement project and commercial production began in the early 90's. It is managed and operated today by Glenn and Sharon Owens. Highbush: Bladen, Revele, O'Neil, Croatan and Bounty. Rabbit Eye: Yadkin, Bonita, Premier, Climax, Powder Blue, Cape Fear, Baldwin and Tif Blue.

Owens Blueberries has closed for the Season. We thank you for your business. It was another great year. God willing, we will see you around June 2026.

We will open for the final time this season on Tuesday, August 12, 6 pm to 8 pm. There are still plenty of berries available. The field is wet so wear appropriate shoes or boots. Thank You.

We're going to be open today but be mindful there is standing water in the field so you might want to wear some boots or shoes that can get wet.

You're about to know why I'm not a weatherman. I was assuming since I live 2 miles away and the radar showed it was coming over here that it had rained at the field also. I just arrived and it is not rained a drop and it's fairly clear overhead. I'll be here if you still want to come.

We have currently had nearly an inch of rain at the field and it is still coming down. We will not be able to open today but will try again Thursday hopdfully. Thanks.
