Opening days are determined only by availability of berries and these days will be announced by post about 2 days ahead. As time went by additional bushes and varieties were added until approximately 2 acres of bushes were planted. It is managed and operated today by Glenn and Sharon Owens. n and Bounty. Rabbit Eye: Yadkin, Bonita, Premier, Climax, Powder Blue, Cape Fear, Baldwin and Tif Blue.

To our loyal and valued customers.

Regretfully we will be closed for the rest of the season due to the drought. Although we got some rain early this morning it was too late to make any difference.

Each year we have to deal with different weather situations such as late freezes, storms, too much rain, and drought like this year. Last year was one of the best production years we've had and this is among one of the worst. No problem here, God Still Blessed what we did produce. We'll just get ready for next year a little early.

Thanks for your patronage and Lord willing, we will see you in 2027.

Owens’ Blueberries is currently closed. Due to extreme drought another picking cannot be determined at this time. A decision will not be made before July 6. Please check again after July 6.

We're going to open again Tuesday June 30 6pm to 8 pm.

Due to the drought this will probably be the last picking on the rows that were open this past Thursday.

We have more varieties getting ripe soon if we get some rain.
Expect this season to be short (both in quantity and length) compared to better weather years.

We will open the field for the first time for 2026 on Thursday June 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thank you and hope to see you there.
