What's y'alls plans this evening?
I'm some bologna I pickled in an extra tangy, savory brine overnight. Added the pickles too since I had to use the half cup of juice that was left and didn't wanna trash them. Never teied smoking pickles before, but sounds good to me! Gonna smoke bologna for 2.5 hrs, then slap some on it last 6-8 mins at 350 to get tacky with a dusting of dry rub at the end. 🤗 I'll hollar at y'all when it's done! Gonna throw mine on a bun with some mayo, mustard and cheese!!! 😋😋😋

Some beautiful eggies today! The only one that isn't one of my own crossess is the far left and that's a Frasier Creek Farm baby shining once again! Beautiful tones, blooms, and speckles appearing since it was cooler for a couple days. Back to scorching temps next couple days so may slow, we shall see if the ink jet gods will stay with us! 🤣🤗🥰 I love this hobby!

One of the pullets I hatched from Frasier Creek Farm this spring laid her first eggy today, and it's a beautiful lil specimen. Has a goldish undertone almost and I am here for it!

Hit him up for some amazing hatching eggs y'all, such a kind guy!

Now to figure out who it is... A Blue Marans was laying on this kicked out in front of the nesting boxes (iykyk 🙃). But, looks like an OE for sure! I know good and well the Marans that was one it ain't laying yet by the look/size of her and her non-red comb. Only 3-4 of my first hatch from him, and another set of eggs from another breeder, have signs of being near-laying. And, also based on my calendar when they hatched versus the age of the Marans I found laying on this didn't add up. Time to move a cam in there and see so I can figure out my next pen! :D Soooo happy with this!

Well, hate even making this post. But, my one and only sweet girl Lilith passed away today. Was amidst reading posts of Dolly passing, got off work, went out to check everyone, to look up and found her gone, too. :( I am so incredibly crushed as she was my only jenny Royal Palm I had. 😭 She was fine yesterday. I'm crushed and don't understand at all. It ain't always pretty.... I hate this part.

Y'all look at this new egg one of my own pullets laid!!! Her first egg! Will share her fluffy-cheeked self soon. This one just so happens to be one of my very own crosses from my EE pen back in February! May put this gal under a floofy footed Homozygous OE this fall, or under my other MGOE boy. Decisions decisions!!!

Some of the pullets I hatched out and gave mom Robbie AndElle this spring have started to lay! The olives, mints, and "failed olives" are stunning! Few silver-laced wyandottes (lighter cream) mixed in too I gave her since they needed a better home than my project flocks. 🥰 Stunning aray of matte pastel colors!!!
