We went to visit pretty girl today and I am so pleased with her progress under ! She was calm and quiet. (Ben did say she was especially good today 😅) I felt safe with her and we quickly worked out a little steering. Lila and I both got to ride her and we can’t wait to bring her home.

As a surprise, her color has changed considerably. I might get her color tested but she is looking more like a grulla dun rather than a black beauty. She’s gorgeous either way and we are so excited about her future with us🤍

Next up is shopping for weanling show halters for baby girl. We’ve mostly settled on baby girl, pretty girl, big girl, and Reba/ mama for nicknames😂

These girls make my heart smile🤍

My Lila has always said she wanted to be a horse trainer so my crazy self went out and got brood mares so we could have some babies to play with.

Reni is the first Seven Oaks baby and she will always hold a special place for us. If we still have her come fall, these 2 girls will hit the show pen together🤠

If they win, the price goes up😜

Big girl got her first bath today 💦 She’s almost done shedding off. She the total package….. gorgeous and sweet, goofy at times, feisty at others. She doing great picking up all 4 feet and leading. We are starting to work on setting up🤠

1st breeding season is officially under our belt! We have 2 babies cooking. Heartbeats confirmed. I feel so grateful🤍 Also a little beat up and exhausted but mostly grateful!

These two had a GREAT weekend at the Tristar Shows with Peak Equine and Schuster Show Horses!!! Lila had her first ever 1st place win in showmanship and showed in halter for her first time (with some strong encouragement from her mama) and placed second in color bred geldings💪🏼💪🏼 Lila and Benson have had about 9 months together and they get better every show!!! This boy is a gem!!! We are exhausted but grateful beyond measure🤍

Reni girl is the sweetest thing in the world. We had a good lesson today picking up feet, pivoting, backing and turning with the rope. She will do just about anything for some good scratches 🥰
