Well, this is pretty damn cool. 🍻

Chubby Mermaid was voted WINNER in TWO categories in the 2026 Bonita Springs Community’s Choice Awards:

🏆 Brewpub/Brewery
🏆 B**r Selection – Restaurant/Bar

A huge thank you to everyone who voted for us. There are some seriously good breweries and businesses in Bonita Springs, and the surrounding area, so being chosen in both categories means a hell of a lot to our crew.

Thank you, Bonita Springs (and all of SWFL)!

And now we’re giving Sundays their own flavor. 🏈

Starting this Sunday, 9/13…

FOOTBALL SUNDAYS at Chubby Mermaid will feature a weekly collaboration between Sandwiches & more… El Viejo’s and Ro & Co Barbecue , bringing Pieri and Ronnie together for a football-day special built around Ro & Co’s barbecue.

One Sunday might feature pork, another chicken or beef. The special might change from week to week depending on what the guys have planned for the smoker.

Kicking it off this Sunday: Texas-style BBQ pork shoulder sliders, available until sold out.

Ronnie and Pieri are trading the kitchen for a little much-needed R&R!

Before they take off for a week, come help us send them off with a bang. Stop by Chubby Mermaid this Tuesday and Wednesday, grab some food from El Viejo’s, raise a pint, and wish these two a well-deserved farewell for now.

While they’re away, we’ve got a full lineup of local food trucks and a few extras rolling through to keep everyone well fed.

Swipe through the carousel to see what we’ve got planned for Food Truck Week, August 13–19.

Enjoy the break, Ronnie & Pieri. We’ll hold down the fort until you get back!

Today we celebrate our very own, one-of-a-kind best friend, partner, and husband.

Happy 40th Birthday to Josh!

Josh, you are known for your creativity, hard work, organization, and reliability. You are our rock, and your passion and dedication to great b**r has helped bring all of us together at Chubby Mermaid. What so many people see when they walk through our doors is the finished product, but I’ve had the privilege of watching the countless late nights, early mornings, and endless hours of planning, building, fixing, creating, and dreaming that made it all possible.

Thank you for pouring your heart into this brewery, our family, and this amazing community. We couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate this milestone with you and to watch another year of your adventure unfold.

Cheers to 40 years and many more to come. We all love you so much. Happy Birthday!

Love, Michele & the CMBC Crew
