Some things just fill your heart without trying 🥹💗🐾

Our puppy Chorizo loves to come and watch me get ready in the bathroom. It’s like his favorite thing to do besides playing ball and going for walks outside to look for bunnies.

I switched my schedule to days instead of working overnights and it’s so nice to be woken up in the morning without an alarm. Chorizo wakes me up at 4:45am each morning for his walk and I head to the gym afterwards. Then get in a quick shower and healthy breakfast and start work at 7:30am. It has been a good routine for the last two weeks. I don’t know how that will change once Baby Poyser arrives but I am just soaking up all this puppy love 💗 🐶

🥱 Do you hit your snooze a few times then drag yourself away from your warm comfy bed?

Do you meal prep for the week? 🤔

Yesterday I meal prepped. I remember when it used to take 4 hours to make meals. It was ridiculous how long it took. I am all about quick and simple these days. These meals will feed the two of us for all week and cost less than $100.00 for groceries. Gotta love and the weekly savings they have. Here are some of the quick meals I made.

For breakfast I made overnight oats.

Breakfast Overnight oats

•1/3 cup oats
•1 tablespoon chia seeds
•1 tablespoon flax seeds
•1 scoop protein powder
•1/2 cup almond milk
•1 cup pineapple
•drizzle of honey

Fruit Snack

•Fresh fruit of strawberries and grapes

Shaved Roast Beef sandwich Lunch

•Shaved beef
•Onions
•Peppers
•Mushrooms
•Buns
•Provolone cheese
•Hot Mustard
•Mayo
•Ketchup

Turkey Taco bowl dinner

•Ground Turkey and taco seasoning
•Onions
•Cheese
•Cilantro
•Peppers
•Tomatoes
•Chilis
•Brown rice
•Whole kernel corn

Love salmon? 🍲

Create your own delicious version of a poke bowl. My version is incredibly quick to put together and tastes fresh.

Ingredients:

•Fresh Salmon
•Jalapeño everything bagel seasoning
•Spring mix salad
•Lime
•Crunchy onions .gourmet
•Zesty sauce
•Sesame seeds
•Avocado
•Rice blend ( I like 90 second seven grains from Aldi
•Radishes
•Cucumbers
•Green onions

To create your poke bowl…

I grilled a filet of salmon on medium high heat on the grill. To prepare, slice the salmon into smaller portions. I used extra virgin olive oil on the skin side then sprinkled the skin side with Himalayan salt. The other side of the filet I sprinkled jalapeño everything bagel seasoning. I grilled the filets skin side down for 6-7 minutes. I then flipped the salmon and grilled for another minute before removing from the grill.

The plate was layered with a spring mix, sliced radishes, cucumbers, avocado, half a lime, and green onions. I microwaved the rice packet and pour half of the packet on top of the layered salad. Then place your salmon. Add your toppings of crunchy onions, sesame seeds, and zesty sauce.

Literally you can add more toppings like sliced jalapeños, seaweed salad, sweet corn, beans, edamame or sliced carrots.

Grab a fork and enjoy!

HIGH PROTEIN SCRUMPTIOUS SWEET POTATO WAFFLES🧇

(229 Calories, 36g Protein, 16g Carbohydrates, 1g Fat)

Ingredients:

1 cup egg whites
1/2 cup sweet potatoes, peeled
1 scoop protein powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract@nielsenmassey

Wash and poke a sweet potato with a fork to create holes. 🍠🍴

Wrap a wet paper towel around the sweet potato and place in the microwave for 6 minutes. ‼️

Once the sweet potato is soft, peel and place 1/2 a cup of sweet potato in the blender. Add 1 cup egg whites, 1 scoop of cakepop protein powder, and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract in the blender. Blend on high for 1 minute. 🫗🧇

🔌Plug in your waffle iron and spray with Pam baking spray. Pour the batter on the waffle iron and make as usual. Makes 2-3 waffles 🧇 🧇🧇

I added cinnamon and blueberries 🫐

Good morning breakfast lovers! Who’s ready for high protein waffles !?🧇 🥰

Toasty warm and light waffles are a welcome treat in the mornings, especially if you live in Minnesota and are getting two feet of snow. Thinking of you in Minnesota and happy to say I’ll be enjoying the palm breeze today 🌴☀️😁 My snow shovel is forever retired. ❄️

These waffles are so light and fluffy but packed with protein so you are left feeling full in the mornings! 🍴🧇🫐

Here’s the simple recipe if your ready to start your day off right.

Ingredients:

1 cup egg whites

1/2 cup quick oats

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 scoop of your favorite protein powder ( I used gourmet vanilla)

Blend all the ingredients. Pour the mixture over the surface of a hot waffle maker or skillet. You can make this into pancakes or enjoy as Belgian style waffles 🧇

Protein: 55 grams
Carbohydrates: 34 grams
Fat: 4 grams

High protein breakfast wrap coming at you! The easiest egg wrap you’ll want to devour day after day!

These are incredibly simple to make so I had to share.

Ingredients for one wrap:

Tortilla, I used
3 eggs
1 egg white
Handful of baby spinach
1 teaspoon Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon sriracha, I used
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon chives
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

I made a bunch of these egg wraps so I heated the tortillas on the grill. While the tortillas are warming up, I cooked the eggs over a skillet on medium high heat for 2 minutes. I like the eggs wet, not dry. Leave them cook longer and scramble if you’d like. Once the eggs are done to your taste, transfer them to a bowl with the rest of the dry ingredients. Mix all together, add the sriracha and get ready to plate. On your plate, place the tortilla, handful of spinach, and egg mixture. Roll up and enjoy warm. So simple and delicious 😋

Protein: 26 g
Carbs: 11g
Fat: 13g
