We have raised 4 chicks at home this past month and now it’s time for them to head to the farm! Hard to believe in 5-6 months these babies will be producing some farm fresh eggs! Stay tuned!!!

Just spoke with Carter and he is having the best time at camp! He is riding horses every day and said he has a whole cabin of new friends! He sounded SO happy on the phone!!!

Here is a little about Carter so you know the man behind this service!

Carter is a 9 year old boy who lives in The Place in Estero, Florida. Carter is a middle child, with one older brother, Briggs and one younger brother, Beckett.

Carter has always loved animals, especially horses. In fact as a toddler his room was farm themed and he had a farm themed birthday party. This is ironic since his family always lived in the suburbs!

After moving to Florida in 2020, Carter started asking more and more to ride horses. Carter’s parents met a fellow hockey family who had connections with a local ranch. Carter started taking riding lessons at White Horse Ranch in North Fort Myers from Brittney Gallo in September 2021, and he quickly dove right into the farm and horseman lifestyle!

He loves animals so much that he voluntarily decided to become a vegetarian! Initially he also gave up eggs, but after he learned that they don’t harm chickens, he brought them back into his diet. In fact, today eggs are his main source of protein!

Carter’s riding passion has evolved and he is now taking barrel racing lessons from Marla Gulsby. He’s is also working 2-3 days per week this Summer at the farm, caring for the horses and maintaining the ranch property. Carter has been so blessed to be mentored by an incredible community of people in the farm and ranch world including Brittany, Marla and Manny (the owner of White Horse Ranch).

A few weeks ago, Carter discovered that Manny at White Horse Ranch has chickens! Marla also gave Carter some of her farm fresh eggs to take home. As an egg connoisseur, Carter said they were the most delicious eggs had ever eaten! He could not believe the deep yellow color from the yolk! This is compared to the organic and Egglands Best eggs his mom buys at the grocery store.

Recognizing an opportunity to share these delicious eggs with his neighbors, and hopefully make a few bucks to save for a horse of his own someday, the dream of Carter’s Farm Fresh Eggs came to fruition!
