🌮 New(ish) late night taco joint in downtown FM 🍺

combines Turkish and Mexican cuisine, creating a "Mexiterranean" fusion. They pride themselves on being a healthy option for us - committed to serving the freshest, organic locally grown produce with hormone and antibiotic free premium meats.

Turco is a term labeling Middle Eastern and Turkish immigrants. Used by the restaurant because they cook their meats on a vertical rotisserie - a technique brought to South and Central America in the 18th Century by Turco immigrants who primarily settled in Mexico.

They also pride themselves on being allergy conscious and able to accommodate dietary preferences/restrictions.

Super cool concept! However my opinion on the experience: flavors were good, but 2/3 tacos were cold 😔 quick service and great location. Maybeeeeeee I'll give them another shot soon

a little story behind this cup ☕️🤍

Bare Roots Coffee House was opened in 2023 by Juliana + Scott Zedeker, built from a vision of creating something more intentional than your average coffee stop

rooted in wellness, community, and clean ingredients, everything here feels thoughtful — from the organic coffee to the house-made syrups and the way the space invites you to slow down

and honestly… people don’t just come here for coffee
they come for the feeling

the soft, airy, neutral-toned interior, the cozy details, the calm energy — it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay a little longer, breathe a little deeper, and just be

more than a coffee shop, it’s a space built with love, and you can feel that in every corner ✨

I love 10twentyfive y'all. They are such a quick, solid, delicious, consistent SMALL BUSINESS option in downtown Fort Myers.

Keep your money local. Eat this insane falafel burger. Drink they yummmm cocktails and enjoy their craft beer. They try to always keep their menu as local as they can. Vibes are always great. This is my happy place 🥹🫶

Behind every plate at Thai Udon Cafe is a story that goes far beyond food 🤍

This isn’t a chain. This isn’t corporate.
Thai Udon Cafe is a locally owned small business built by a husband and wife who poured their lives into it.

Khwanjai Satinsky grew up in Pathum Thani, Thailand, just outside Bangkok — surrounded by the flavors, traditions, and community that define Thai cuisine. Cooking wasn’t just food… it was culture, family, and identity.

Her husband, Adam Satinsky, took a very different path — a professional musician and principal cellist with the Naples Philharmonic. But together, they shared something deeper: a desire to create something meaningful for their community.

So they built Thai Udon Cafe — not just as a restaurant, but as a reflection of their lives. A place where Thai heritage meets artistry, where recipes come from memory, and where every detail is intentional.

Their original concept dates back years in Southwest Florida, and by 2017, they expanded into Estero — quietly opening what would become a neighborhood staple.

This place exists because:
🙏 one woman wanted to share the food she grew up with
🤝 one man believed in her vision enough to build it together
🌀 and both chose community over corporate

That’s what makes it different.

When you eat here, you’re not just supporting a restaurant — you’re supporting a real family, a real story, and a piece of Thailand brought to Florida with purpose.

Support local. It matters more than you think 🍜✨

Where did I get this bagel that is as big as my head???

🥯 🔥

"We are a family owned and operated business. We live local and also serve the community working full time for North Collier Fire Department. We are bagel lovers ourselves so our dough is made from scratch, and never frozen. We kettle boil each bagel and bake to perfection. Made with the best ingredients and made with love!"

🍦✨ Sweet stories deserve sweet spots — and this local gem delivers both.

From the playful rolled ice cream to the churros, milkshakes, and tres leches twists, The Gordillo’s Melting Rolls isn’t just an ice cream shop — it’s a community treat hub built on passion, creativity, and flavor.

What started with a dream and some fresh inspiration has become a place where families gather, memories are made, and every scoop comes with a smile. 🍨💛

Supporting local businesses like this keeps community thriving right here in Southwest Florida — and if you haven’t visited yet… stick your spoon in, you’re gonna love it!

Some places feel meant to be part of someone’s story. Banyan Cafe was one of them. 🌿☕️

Before DD (right) ever owned this little coffee truck beneath the banyan trees, she was a local mom walking here with her kids—just a 15-minute walk, a 5-minute bike ride. She grew up in Southwest Florida, swore she’d never move back, then life did what it does. After 15 years in Atlanta, she found herself back home, raising two young kids and craving something of her own.

So when Jasmin (left), the original owner and an incredible baker, shared she and her family were moving back to Germany, DD felt the pull. “I can’t let this business dissipate,” she told herself — even though she had no idea how to run a coffee shop. Numbers, spreadsheets, and remote work she knew. Espresso machines? Not so much.

After months of closures, licensing, and learning with the kindness and support of the former owners, DD & her husband Trip officially purchased Banyan Café last July. They reopened consistently in October, carrying forward the business’s original spirit while slowly shaping something that fits her life now—closed Sundays and Mondays to honor her kids, a rotating menu that supports local bakers, and a space rooted in community over perfection.

Banyan Café is an independent, woman-owned business, renting space at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates (no admission required, dog-friendly 🐾). The menu changes often—baked goods, occasional sandwiches, and thoughtful partnerships with local makers like French baker Remy and Alison F. because DD believes in keeping things simple, intentional, and real.

Ask DD her favorite part and she won’t say coffee—she’ll say the people. The neighbors who thanked her for reopening. Other small business owners asking how they can help. A community that showed up before she even felt ready.

Order her favorite Coquito Macchiato, say Hi! to Liv, Donna, or DD (3rd pic!), and spend a few quiet moments under the banyan trees. This place isn’t a clone of what came before—it’s a continuation of something special. 💛
