Miesner Farm has beef going in for processing at Ruble’s Meat Market on the following dates:
April 22
July 1
October 14
Merritt Farm has beef available for the following dates:
May 13
October 21
You can purchase 1/4, 1/2, or whole beef.
Pricing:
$3.50/lbs hanging weight (600-800 pounds usually). This is the cost of the live animal and is payable to Tim Miesner or Bill Merritt directly.
Approximate prices:
Whole $2400
Half $1200
Quarter $600
Processing fees at Ruble’s Meat Market in 2023 was $0.55/lb., $45 kill fee, and $25 disposal fees (if you are not buying a whole, the fees are split between buying parties). I need to confirm fees for this year to see if they have changed.
