It all began with a garden. A small garden that grew well and gave me veggies to pick and eat. The garden grew larger. My expectations for myself and for that garden evolved and grew, too. Gardening was now organic gardening using no pesticides and no chemical fertilizers. And the harvests grew and I needed to be able to use all that I grew. And I canned enough I had to "gift" much of it away. But
I learned to can carefully and well and creatively. And I knew exactly what was in each of those sparkling canning jars. I knew I created it! It made me proud. That wonderful ever-evolving garden was in Ohio, just outside of Cincinnati. Last February, 2011 my husband retired and we moved here to Missouri (my home state). Wendell knew how much gardening meant to me and made sure I had 2 raised garden beds for our first growing season in Bonne Terre. The harvest was pitiful (It will be better with each passing year). But I found local fruits and local honeys and recipes I had never heard of before. And I began canning in Missouri. I canned more jams and fruit butters than I had ever attempted before. Then I took some of my jams and pickles to a local shop and they liked them! I was no longer gifting everything away. I found that I could sell my jarred jams at A Few of Your Favorite Things. And I was making friends, and becoming part of a community, and providing charitable support to charitable and community causes. And becoming known as LindaNaturally. The name fits. It's comfortable. I like it. LindaNaturally will never promise a production run of 50 jars of anything. I can't do that. My batches are small and carefully crafted. I am a homecanner in my own kitchen and I work alone. I also can't ever absolutely promise that a new batch will be exactly like a previous batch. I don't use flavor or color additives that guarantee "sameness". My products are as natural as I can craft them. LindaNaturally is currently available by contacting me and by stopping by
a wonderful small specialty shop in Bonne Terre named A Few of Your Favorite Things 37 School St.
